Rowan
Welcome to Rowan Class
We are really looking forward to teaching Rowan Class this year.
Students will learn to become independent with their learning by building on the skills they have developed in previous years. They will have access to a range of resources within the classroom to aid their learning such as apparatus for mathematics and dictionaries and thesaurus’ for English.
We read daily, and have a very welcoming reading area in the classroom where children can take time to read independently. Children are encouraged to take pride in their work and display their proud achievements on our ‘Proud Wall’ in the classroom.
Our wider curriculum will continue to expand their knowledge and expertise across the national curriculum including map skills in Geography and chronological understanding in History. Children will have the opportunity to undertake scientific experiments as well as develop a range of sporting skills in P.E.
In Rowan Class we aim for your child to mature emotionally, socially and feel confident but, above all, enjoy their time in class!
